The RBF Global Finance Forum (RBF-GFF) is the flagship initiative of the Risk Banking and Finance Society, created to serve as a premier platform for the global financial community. While our renowned IRMC focuses on the specialized field of risk management, the RBF-GFF broadens the dialogue to embrace the full spectrum of finance and banking on an international stage.
Our mission is to create an inclusive platform that brings together academics, practitioners, and policymakers to address a wide range of financial challenges—from capital markets and corporate finance to fintech, sustainable development, and global financial policy.
The inaugural RBF Global Finance Forum, held in 2015 at the Tokyo Stock Exchange, set a lasting benchmark. Featuring keynote speeches by globally renowned experts such as former Bank of Japan Governor Masaaki Shirakawa and NYU Stern’s Menachem Brenner, the event successfully bridged East and West, fostering candid and productive dialogue on financial stability and reform.
Building on this success, the RBF is proud to relaunch the Forum in 2026, at a pivotal moment for global finance. The agenda will address urgent issues such as post-pandemic recovery, digital transformation, sustainable finance, and financial inclusion.
Conceived as a “more inclusive, more global” event, the 2026 RBF Global Finance Forum will be a vital hub for exchanging cutting-edge research, sharing real-world insights, and forging collaborations that shape the future of finance in an interconnected world. It stands as a testament to our commitment to a truly global dialogue, where the most pressing questions in finance are debated without geographic silos.
