About The Conference

International Risk Management Conference

IRMC 2020 - Global Virtual Conference

The COVID-19 pandemic is still affecting the planet and made impossible to hold the IRMC annual meeting this June, as scheduled in Krakow. The Organizing Committee has decided to hold the IRMC 2020 as our first Virtual Conference on October 9-10, 2020. We have selected the platform Whova as technical partner for the event. Fundação Dom Cabral (Brazil) has joined in the role of South American HUB for the conference.

The topic of the conference has changed to: Managing Global Risks: The COVID-19 Pandemic “New Normal” and the Challenges for a Sustainable Economic Environment”.

A New special session dedicated to “COVID-19’s Impact on Global Financial Stability and Risk Management practices” has been organized. Being aware that event studies on the COVID-19 pandemic are still in an early phase of development, the submission to the special session dedicated to COVID-19 can be either an early draft of the paper or an extended abstract submitted by September 10. Extended Abstracts should include: objectives and research questions; empirical analysis with results (shown in tables); explanation of dataset and methodology. This special session invites submissions related to the impact of the pandemic on sovereign institutions, economic consequences and on financial institutions and markets.

The Risk Banking and Finance Society, in collaboration with the IRMC permanent organizers University of Florence, NYU Stern Salomon Center, the co-organizer JRC-European Commission together with the new South American HUB Fundação Dom Cabral invite you to join the 13th Edition of the International Risk Management Conference – IRMC2020 Global Virtual Edition. The conference will bring together leading experts from various academic disciplines and professionals for a two-day conference including three keynote plenary sessions, three parallel featured sessions and a professional workshop. The conference welcomes all relevant theoretical, methodological and empirical contributions.
