19th Edition of the Annual Meeting of The Risk, Banking and Finance Society
Warsaw (Poland) – University of Warsaw
June 22–23, 2026

The International Risk Management Conference (IRMC) is the flagship annual event of the Risk, Banking and Finance Society (RBF) and stands as a leading global forum dedicated to advancing research and dialogue on risk management, banking, and financial stability.

The primary objective of the IRMC is to foster high-level intellectual exchange between academics, policymakers, regulators, and industry professionals. The conference provides a unique platform for presenting cutting-edge theoretical, empirical, and methodological research, while encouraging interdisciplinary perspectives on the most pressing challenges facing financial systems worldwide.

Each edition of the IRMC brings together an international community of scholars and practitioners to explore emerging topics such as financial resilience, systemic risk, corporate governance, digital transformation, sustainability, and the evolving role of regulation in global markets. Participants benefit from opportunities to engage in keynote lectures, parallel research sessions, roundtables, and networking activities that promote collaboration and knowledge dissemination.

The IRMC is organized by the Risk, Banking and Finance Society in close collaboration with its permanent academic partners and host institutions. A defining strength of the conference lies in its distinguished Board and Scientific Committee, composed of internationally recognized scholars and experts from leading universities and policy institutions. The Board Committee ensures the highest academic standards, oversees the peer-review process, and guides the strategic direction of the conference.

Through the leadership of the RBF Society and the dedication of its Board Committee, the IRMC has established itself as a trusted and influential venue for rigorous debate, innovative research, and meaningful interaction between theory and practice. The conference welcomes a diverse audience including researchers, doctoral students, financial professionals, regulators, and institutional decision-makers, all united by a shared commitment to improving risk management and financial stability in an increasingly complex and uncertain world.
