Following the success of previous editions of the International Risk Management Conference, which gathered more than 150 international scholars and professionals, the Risk, Banking and Finance Society is pleased to announce the 19th edition of the International Risk Management Conference (IRMC 2026).
The conference is organized by the Risk, Banking and Finance Society in collaboration with its permanent academic partners — University of Florence and NYU Stern School of Business — the co-organizer Joint Research Centre (European Commission), and the host institution University of Warsaw
IRMC 2026 aims to bring together leading academics, researchers, policymakers, and finance professionals to foster dialogue and collaboration on the most pressing challenges in risk management, banking, and finance, with special emphasis on resilience, governance, and financial stability in an AI-driven world.
We welcome high-quality theoretical, methodological, and empirical contributions addressing contemporary challenges and innovations in financial systems and markets.
Both theoretical and empirical papers are encouraged in areas including, but not limited to:
Special attention will be given to papers related to financial stability in AI-driven markets, governance and trust, climate risk and sustainability, policy responses to systemic risk, and market resilience and stress testing.
Selected papers presented at IRMC 2026 will be considered for publication in special issues of leading journals, including:
